Well, we made it to Washington, a bit later than planned, but to lovely weather. Our hotel is in Foggy Bottom, near George Washington University.We walked over to the Watergate Complex, where we saw this amazing fountain...but no one breaking into anything. Maybe next time. We then had dinner at the Froggy Bottom Pub - tasty burgers - and called it a night.
This morning I am listening to the rain and watching the lightning...it's very nice but I hope it will clear before we head out. It's all about monuments today - well, that and brunch!
